Louie Avila, Master Teacher
Best known for his portrayal of Boq in the musical WICKED, Louie has become the go-to vocal coach for singers looking to improve their vocal ability and booking potential.
Specializing in the audition process, clients consistently see results in the audition room and on stage. A healthy vocal approach in combination with authentic storytelling is applied to develop a singers’ unique ability.
Clients range from celebrity recording artists and television actors to working musical theatre performers and high school students throughout the Los Angeles area.
Additionally, Louie is a professional accompanist and music director having worked with Musical Theatre West (MTW), 3D Theatricals (3DT), 5-Star Theatricals, Michael Donovan Casting and more.
A successful career in show business has paved the way to an abundant road as an arts educator. With faculty positions at The Orange County School of the Arts (OCSA), The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), and Hussian College in Studio Los Angeles (HCLA).
Louie is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA. Among his many professional credits, some favorites include Life In Pieces (CBS), The Politician (Netflix), and Prince Chulalongkorn in The King and I (National Tour).
An alumni of the Colburn School in Downtown Los Angeles, Louie credits his strong foundational approach to the arts to his great mentors and master teachers throughout his career.
